Ropode.org earns money through affiliate links. This page explains exactly how that works, because you should know what a site's incentives are before you trust its recommendations.

The Short Version

We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click a product link on this site and buy something on Amazon, we receive a small commission. Your price is exactly the same either way. Amazon pays the commission out of its own margin; nothing is added to your total.

How to Identify an Affiliate Link

Every affiliate link on this site points to Amazon and is marked in the page source with rel="sponsored". In practice, any button reading "Buy on Amazon" or any product image in our comparison grid is an affiliate link. So is the button beneath the banner on our homepage.

What This Does and Does Not Influence

It does influence which retailer we link to — we link to Amazon because that is the program we participate in.

It does not influence what we say about a product. Our comparison is organised by fitment: which engine and model year a module actually supports. A product that does not fit your truck earns us nothing when it gets returned, so there is no upside in overselling one.

We also publish the downsides of this product category — the fuel economy penalty, the fact that a disabler cannot repair an already-failed lifter, the modules that disarm at every start — in full view alongside the recommendations. A buyer who understands the trade-off before ordering is better for everyone, including us.

What We Are Not

We are not a retailer. We do not sell, stock or ship anything.
We are not affiliated with General Motors. Vehicle names and model designations appear only as fitment references.
We do not run a test bench or a test fleet, and we do not claim laboratory data we have not produced. Where we summarise owner experience, we say that is what it is.
